Note to competators following the tsunami.

Aloha Lavaman Competitors:

I have received many e-mails following the tragic
earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan this past
weekend and the resulting tsunami that struck Hawaii.
Many have shared fears that the Lavaman race would
be impacted or even canceled.

I want to assure all of you that the Lavaman will
go on as scheduled and it will be bigger and better
than ever. We have made a few changes as a result
of the damage sustained at Anaehoomalu Bay, but to
you the athlete, they will be very minor and seamless.

We owe a good deal of gratitude to the Waikoloa Beach
Resort and the businesses within for their hard work
in bringing things quickly back to as close to normal
as possible. They have worked hard in restoring the
beach area and making it once again accessible to their
guests and ready for us on April 1.

We look forward to welcoming you all whether this is
your first Lavaman Triathlon or your 14th and we will
be working hard in the meantime to make sure your experience
is one of, if not your best triathlon experience.

A newsletter will be e-mailed to all athletes in the
next couple of days with some highlights of this years
race, some schedule updates, and some very special
offerings from some of our sponsors. These will all
be posted on the website as well.

In the meantime ?Train Safe? and we?ll see you on April 3.

Mahalo to you all for your support,
