Day 8 - Time to Immerse

 

Today we had a culinary lesson in Italian fare. We were kindly greeted with a lovely cappuccino and then we were invited into the “cucina”, kitchen to help prepare today's delight. We were taught how to make croquette, gnocchi, cheese stuffed squash flowers, and a lovely chocolate torte. It truly was a delightful experience and the meal we created was prepared by the chefs and devoured by all.

After lunch we went next door to the ceramic studio which were quite literally pieces of art. They are created with the lava from this region and the pictures just do not do them justice.

We were all exhausted so we decided to come back to the villa and rest before meeting for a light supper with the group.

This time has been truly priceless.
