Day 9 - Good morning Amalfi!

 


To say was are a bit tired is a minor statement. Sheree Willhite poured herself a bowl of water this morning if that tells you anything.
After breakfast we were off by bus to see Tenuta Vennulo where they produce fresh Mozzarella De Buffalo. This is the best Mozzarella I have tasted to date!
We learned how the Buffalo are cared for, a little Mozart in the morning, followed by back scratches, and lounging all before they walk themselves in to the milling stand. Then it’s time for lunch, for them anyways.
We were treated with some shopping, and a great cappuccino.
Now it’s off to Paestum to see the Greek Temple dating back to 500bc. This was truly spectacular!
Before boarding the bus for home we finished up some shopping and had an amazing lunch.
On our way home we stopped at a supermercato which was fun! I picked up lemonade making supplies and returned to our villa and got right to work. I can not even tell you how great it was! I treated everyone I could find to the quenching treat before getting ready for supper.
Tonight’s supper was at the hotel. Lynette Davis Standley was inspired by our cooking day and asked the chef to prepare grilled vegetables, pasta and homemade pesto, then finally insalada mista. It was perfecto!
Julie Benintendi and Sheree capped off the night by trying the Grappa… you will have to ask them how they liked it.
Another amazing day on the Amalfi Coast.
