Another busy day in Kauai

Today Tex, Johnnie, and Sheree went on an ATV ride. Since Auntie Pattie bailed on the trip to go to Maui to watch the boys it was my day to stay home and babysit. It gave me a good chance to stay in and chill out. Tex, however, had to get up at 60 am to join them. Ouch! Looks like they had fun though!

After the ATV crew got home they all cleaned up and we headed to a BBQ place that was recommended to Sheree by a friend. It was really good and it had a great view.

After lunch we headed to the north shore. The waves were larger than I have ever scene in Hawaii, I would say some 7 - 8 feet. They even had the beech closed. It was crazy!

Sheree and Johnnie showed us this cool tunnel on the north shore that we got to walk into. TJ was scared at first but he warmed up to it.

Tex stopped to get us some drinks and also bought us all a pineapple!
I swear he can find a place to shop anywhere!

We found these exposed tree roots all along the beach, great time for a family photo op!

On the way back I told Sheree she had to try a Hawaiian Shave Ice, so we stopped and found this cute little shack on our way home. Believe me it did not disappoint!

On our home we stopped at the store to pick up some item's for dinner. We also picked up some Pu' Pu's (appetizers in Hawaiian). Once we loaded up our plates we headed outside to watch the moon rise! Hard to top this day, great food, great friends! Living Aloha!
