Just got off the phone with Patti, she is returning home tomorrow night &
hopefully dad will not be too far behind!

They took the feeding tube out a day ago & he has been eating baby food,
apple sauce & apple juice. They sit him up to eat. He moved his right hand
& leg quite a bit today with a lot of smiles! The doctors said he will not be
able to speak with the tracheotomy in place, but he does move his mouth
(started yesterday) as if he is trying to speak. Even thou the doctors said
he should not be able to speak with the tracheotomy in place, Patti said
he said "OK" out loud today & then when they were leaving & Patti said
they were leaving, he said "K". He is crossing his arms, folding his hands.
Patti & Sue gave him some chapstick & he was able to hold it. Patti
says he is moving around trying to plan his escape, she said it was
the best day since she has been there.
